Just when the basketball sneaker world thought that the "Cool Grey" colorway may have decided to get some rest, the new Jordan 2'Smooth has showed up and informed us otherwise. The colorway used on this new Jordan shoe has been the talk of the sneaker scene for a couple years now. The Jordan 11 "Cool Greys" dropped on us last December certainly made a nice Christmas present. And was perhaps the pinnacle of the wave of this colorway. A colorway that has been with us and doesn't seem to be going anywhere away just yet. Just as 2010 ended, the beginning of 2011 brought the same trend, cool grey kicks. With the news of this new Jordan shoe for basketball dropping in the most popular colorway this year, you can continue to see it on many more shoes to come.

The new Jordan 2'Smooth is a low-cut shoe, another popular trend that sneakerheads seem to be gravitating towards. Similar to the new CP 2'Quick in cut and the cushioning system it uses, this new shoe also uses a the Nike cushioning system "Podulon in the midsole and on the outsole. The inspiration for the design of the upper from which the new shoe uses, should be familiar to Jordanheads. The Air Jordan XX. The influence of that shoe can be seen on the upper in the form of laser graphic design. The design that made the Jordan XX a classic. This classic laser graphic print design is also seen on the midsole of the shoe. White takes care of the lacing system and outsole. Digital print "Jordan" logos are used the tongue and finish off the shoe.

The Jordan 2'Smooth is just another addition to the already strong lineup that Jordan Brand and Nike continues to drop in a low-cut basketaball shoe. And why wouldn't they? Ballers are demanding them. Demanding them in record numbers. The Nike Hyerfuse, originally dropped as a mid-cut basketball shoe has now become more popular as a low-cut shoe. More pairs of the Hyperfuse have sold in low-cut than it's mid-cut counterpart. Both professional and recreational basketball players have accepted and actually prefer playing in low-cut kicks. The lightweight stability is a big reason why this is the case. Durability and high performance are also big reasons that hoopers are switching over to low-cut kicks. The new technology in which basketball shoes are now made allow for all the qualities that a baller wants in a shoe.

The new Jordan 2'Smooth is shoe that possesses all these qualities in a shoe. This shoe is available now, so head over to Finishline.com and grab a fresh pair.
