Dark Knight Kobe Bryant Shoes

A new edition of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI is on it's way to the marketplace. Since each week seems to bring a new Kobe VI, this is not ground-breaking news. What is news however, is the mystery that surrounds the colorway this new in which this Kobe VI will drop. The colorway is very reminiscent of a particular colorway we have seen on Kobe Bryant shoes in the past. A colorway even Bruce Wayne would be proud to wear.

The new Kobe VI colorway that we await is dropping in a Dark Grey/Blue-Black-Chilling Red. Sound familiar? It should. This Kobe VI features a dark snakeskin texture upper with accents of black and grey throughout. There are also hints of chilling red and blue located on the midsole, outsole, Swoosh, tongue, and heel cup. Getting the picture yet? Sounds like a colorway that has been seen on the Kobe IV and Kobe V. Hmmmm....

So how did this colorway that has been featured on the Kobe signature sneaker line in each of the last three years come to be known as the "Dark Knight"? Is it Nike that titled this shoe? Perhaps. Is it the sneaker community that lives for unique new colorways on shoes? Most likely. After all, the Nike shoe box that the "Dark Knight" Kobe colorways come in don't contain the words "Dark Knight" anywhere on it.

The sneakerhead community consists of a creative, passionate, and intelligent group of people who simply love shoes. They absolutely live for new, creatively designed sneakers that are built with quality and performance. And in all colors and styles. A shoe like the Kobe VI "Dark Knight" sparks an enormous amount of excitement in sneakerheads. As a result, the sneakerhead community has to be a part of the creative process in one way or another. Attaching a moniker to a shoe, whether it is a superhero, celebrity, or even a cartoon character allows us sneakerheads to do just that.

Or, maybe, I am wrong, and the guys at Nike are indeed responsible for the naming of Kobe Bryant shoes. With so many colorways of Nike kicks hitting the market, actual color descriptions just don't separate one shoe from another anymore. Titles and names are now needed to easily recognize one colorway from another.

In the end, it doesn't really matter if it is Nike or sneakerheads who "dub" the Kobe VI Dark Knight or any other shoe for that matter. The different colorways and the names associated with them is enough to make this the best time ever to be in love with sneakers.

The Dark Knight will be dropping soon If you are a sneakerhead, you don't won't to miss this one.

Black Retro 3 Jordan Shoes For Basketball

It is a classic shoe. Perhaps the best Jordan shoe ever made. It saved the Jordan shoe line. It was the first shoe to use "Elephant Print". 2011 is seeing it's return to the sneaker world in a big way. And it is going to be dropped in another colorway very soon. The Air Jordan III. Already released in white/cement, "true blue", "stealth", "Black Cat", and Doernbecher, and the soon to be black/cement colorways, the Air Jordan III is going to drop yet again in a different colorway. Dubbed the "Black Flip", this colorway is an all black version and uses a reverse blocking of leather and elephant print. What does that mean? Basically the grey and black colors used to make up the elephant print are reversed to create a completely different look.

Back in 2007, there was an identical release but in a different colorway. That Air Jordan III used a white base for it's upper with grey elephant print throughout. The midsole featured white and used a grey based outsole. Dubbed the "Flip", the shoe was an instant classic and sold out everywhere. The upcoming " Black Flip" colorway is essentially opposite in color. The shoe's colorway features black on both the upper and midsole. Grey elephant print markings are featured on the upper. A solid grey outsole and Jumpman logo complete the shoe. A release date has yet to be set, but rest assured, like the other Air Jordan drops before it, this one will sell out quickly.

It is very fitting that the shoe that almost never was, is being released in so many different colorways this year. After the release of the Air Jordan II, Jordan shoes for basketball almost went away for good. Michael Jordan and a lot of sneakerheads didn't take too well the the Jordan II. Many considered it a cheap Jordan shoe, in quality, design and look. In fact, Michael Jordan was days away from meeting with Adidas when Nike designer Tinker Hatfield was tasked with creating a Air Jordan shoe that would satisfy Mr. Jordan. What a task that would be! Well, Tinker stepped up and created the masterpiece which is known as the Air Jordan III. The rest is history.

Elephant print, Nike Air sole unit, midcut design, and two Jumpman logos later, the Air Jordan III is the shoe that kept Jordan with Nike. One shoe. One designer. The most legendary pair of Jordan shoes for basketball. And a multitude of colorways to buy it in this year. Wow! Don't let this opportunity slip away. Make sure you plan ahead so that you have plenty of time to to get yourself a pair of Air Jordan III's. In time to own a piece of history, Air Jordan history.

A True All Star Of Kobe Bryant Shoes

Kobe Bryant, 13-time NBA All Star. Kobe Bryant, 4-time All Star MVP. That, my friends, is plenty of time spent on the court in an uniform as an All-Star. No surprise really, we all know Kobe is and will be one of the greatest players in history to play the game of basketball. All-Star players deserve All-Star shoes. And that is exactly what Nike did this past year for Kobe. This past year Nike dropped several All Star game editions. There was a 3D pair, a red colorway representing the West team, and the "Orange County" colorway. But the fourth colorway that was released during this past year's event in Los Angeles might have been the best.

Dubbed the "East LA" edition, this shoe is one of the most unique Kobe VI's we have ever seen. A scenic graphic of the Los Angeles skyline is intergrated into the deep blue color of the snakeskin textured upper. Wow! It is not often that such detail goes into a basketball shoe. Speaking of detail, the artwork on the heel cup resembles a tatoo. This tatoo style artwork is also seen on the insoles of the shoes. Red accents adorn the tongue and outsole as well the heel cup of the shoe. The Nike Swoosh appears to be missing from the upper. That's because it is also a deep blue color and blends into the upper. Add a translucent outsole and you have got one of the coolest looking sneakers that Nike has ever created.

This special All Star game edition, like all of the Kobe VI's, features the scale-like snakeskin textured upper. An upper that many sneakerheads considered to be a gimmick when the shoe first released, myself included. It turns out, this was no gimmick. This unique textured upper molds perfectly to the foot and is just part of the high performance elements that make up the Kobe VI. It has alway been a perfect upper to create some of the most mind-blowing colorways a basketball shoe has ever seen. The "East LA" is just one of many unbelievablely unique colorways that Nike has used on the Kobe VI.

Nike shoes for basketball have dropped in the past is some pretty amazing models and styles. But, the colorways that they have dropped in the past, although amazing, don't compare to the colorways the Kobe VI has been dropped in. For the last three years, the signature lines of Kobe Bryant shoes have left no colorway behind. Actually I hope they have left a few behind, I can't wait to see the newest Kobe VI colorway.

A Daring Red Pair Of Kobe Bryant Shoes

Have you watched a college or professional basketball game lately? I don't mean yesterday or even the day before that. It is September and obviously basketball is not in season. When I say lately, I am referring to a NCAA or NBA basketball game played last season. In that context, have you seen a game lately? If you have, you may or may not have noticed an unusually large amount of low-cut basketball shoes that are currently adorning the feet of these players. What is going on here? Well, apparently the low-cut basketball shoe has become the shoe of choice for most basketball players, amateur and professional.

The low-cut basketball sneaker has historically been viewed as unacceptable footwear by most ballers. Wearing such a shoe was seen as an invitation to injury, an accident waiting to happen. Not anymore. The recent technology in basketball shoes and the comfort that a low-cut shoe provides, have created a tidal wave of great looking, high performance low-cut kicks. The Kobe Bryant signature sneaker line that began in 2008 was the beginning of the trend of wearing low-cut basketball shoes that is now sweeping the nation, and world. The Kobe IV was the first high performance low-cut basketball shoe that dared to take on the mid-cut basketball sneakers that dominated the hardcourt at the time.

In 2010, still daring the basketball shoe market to change it's ways, the Kobe V released in a wide variety of styles and colorways. More different styles and colorways ever seen on any one model of basketball shoes. The Kobe V did so, and dropped in an even lower cut version than seen on the Kobe IV.

One of the colorways released that year was daring indeed. The Kobe V "All-Star" edition was dropped in a Daring Red colorway and was made for Kobe Bryant's appearance in the 2010 NBA All-Star game. The Daring Red colorway also "dared" to use a wood-grained design, meant to replicate the hardwood of the basketball court, on the forefoot portion of the shoe's upper. It was a very innovative and creative design idea that had never been seen on a shoe before. The shoe also featured black on the midsole, Swoosh, laces, and the Kobe logo. The shoe also featured a translucent outsole. On the heel of the insole Nike placed an All-Star game patch that included Kobe's nickname "The Black Mamba", the year, and the words "Three X MVP".

Nike shoes for basketball have obviously evolved quite quickly over the last few years. Technological design has allowed them to dare to make the low-cut basketball shoes some of the most high performance, lightweight sneakers for the court. They are now more popular than ever. If you have visited Footlocker.com or any of the other major online retailers, you are very aware of this fact. More models and colorways are on their way. Bring 'em on!

2'Smooth Jordan Shoes for Basketball

Just when the basketball sneaker world thought that the "Cool Grey" colorway may have decided to get some rest, the new Jordan 2'Smooth has showed up and informed us otherwise. The colorway used on this new Jordan shoe has been the talk of the sneaker scene for a couple years now. The Jordan 11 "Cool Greys" dropped on us last December certainly made a nice Christmas present. And was perhaps the pinnacle of the wave of this colorway. A colorway that has been with us and doesn't seem to be going anywhere away just yet. Just as 2010 ended, the beginning of 2011 brought the same trend, cool grey kicks. With the news of this new Jordan shoe for basketball dropping in the most popular colorway this year, you can continue to see it on many more shoes to come.

The new Jordan 2'Smooth is a low-cut shoe, another popular trend that sneakerheads seem to be gravitating towards. Similar to the new CP 2'Quick in cut and the cushioning system it uses, this new shoe also uses a the Nike cushioning system "Podulon in the midsole and on the outsole. The inspiration for the design of the upper from which the new shoe uses, should be familiar to Jordanheads. The Air Jordan XX. The influence of that shoe can be seen on the upper in the form of laser graphic design. The design that made the Jordan XX a classic. This classic laser graphic print design is also seen on the midsole of the shoe. White takes care of the lacing system and outsole. Digital print "Jordan" logos are used the tongue and finish off the shoe.

The Jordan 2'Smooth is just another addition to the already strong lineup that Jordan Brand and Nike continues to drop in a low-cut basketaball shoe. And why wouldn't they? Ballers are demanding them. Demanding them in record numbers. The Nike Hyerfuse, originally dropped as a mid-cut basketball shoe has now become more popular as a low-cut shoe. More pairs of the Hyperfuse have sold in low-cut than it's mid-cut counterpart. Both professional and recreational basketball players have accepted and actually prefer playing in low-cut kicks. The lightweight stability is a big reason why this is the case. Durability and high performance are also big reasons that hoopers are switching over to low-cut kicks. The new technology in which basketball shoes are now made allow for all the qualities that a baller wants in a shoe.

The new Jordan 2'Smooth is shoe that possesses all these qualities in a shoe. This shoe is available now, so head over to Finishline.com and grab a fresh pair.
